esaka 江坂 (えさか) is in area north of umeda, on the midosuji subway line. esaka is home to perhaps the best fabric store in osaka (that i know of) otsukaya. there is also a small tokyu hands, a kawachi stationary/ art supply shop, and uniqlo nearby, so it's a convenient area for shopping for fabric and crafts.
closed on wednesdays (except if it's a holiday, generally). cash only.

the 3rd picture from the top on the right side is the osaka, esaka store 大阪江坂
directions for how to get there:
take exit #4 from esaka subway station on the midosuji line.
after walking down these stairs, turn right and cross the brick paved plaza.
continue walking basically foward, across the street and down this street between the pachinko parlour and the shabu shabu restaurant.
it's several blocks.
on the left side of the street.
with a red awning.
the tokyu hands is very close to the station as well. to get there, just leave the same exit, and walk down the stairs and walk straight ahead. it's in a building on the right. the kawachi art supply is also in the same building on the ground floor.
